Microcement
& Limewash
Specialists

Redecorate Ltd apply microcement and limewash across residential, heritage, and commercial projects throughout the North West. These are finishes that require specific knowledge — of materials, substrates, and application — and the patience to get the result right. We've been working with specialist finishes for years and understand what they demand.

Finishes That
Most Decorators
Can't Provide

Microcement and limewash are not conventional paint products — they behave differently, react differently to substrates, and fail visibly when applied incorrectly. Getting them right requires an understanding of the material, proper surface assessment, and application technique that only comes from experience.

We apply these finishes as part of a broader decorating practice — not as a side offering. They sit alongside our residential, heritage, and commercial work, and the same standards apply.

What we apply

Three Specialist
Finish Areas

Each finish has specific requirements and applications. We assess each project individually — the substrate, the setting, and the result the client is working towards — before specifying materials and approach.

01
Microcement

Applied to walls, floors, wet rooms, and commercial surfaces. Microcement requires careful substrate assessment, correct priming, and precise application across multiple coats. The result is a seamless, durable surface suited to both residential and commercial settings — modern interiors, bathrooms, kitchens, and commercial spaces where a contemporary finish is required.

02
Limewash

Applied to period properties, listed buildings, and anywhere breathable finishes are required. Limewash is the historically correct solution for many older substrates and original stonework — it allows moisture to move through the wall rather than trapping it. It also creates a softness and depth that modern paint products don't replicate. We apply limewash to exterior and interior surfaces across the North West.

03
Spray Finishing

Applied to joinery, cabinetry, kitchen units, fitted furniture, and doors. Spray finishing achieves a level of smoothness and uniformity that brush and roller application cannot — a factory-level result applied on site. We carry out spray work across all three of our sectors: residential kitchens, commercial fit-outs, and heritage properties where period joinery requires careful restoration.

Residential,
Heritage &
Commercial

Microcement suits contemporary residential interiors — bathrooms, open-plan kitchens, and commercial hospitality settings where seamless surfaces are part of the design intent. Limewash belongs on period and listed buildings where breathability is essential and traditional aesthetics are the priority. Spray finishing crosses all three — from residential cabinetry to heritage joinery to commercial shopfitting.

The right finish depends on the substrate, the setting, and what the project needs to achieve. We discuss that at the start, before any materials are specified.
